February 26, 1928 – Fats Domino was born Antoine Domino in New Orleans, Louisiana. One of nine children, he quickly masters the piano, taking the name Fats from piano great Fats Waller (and also, he’s 5’5″ and well over 200 pounds). His biggest hit on the pop charts is the 1956 song “Blueberry Hill,” which reached #2 and received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1987.
